SMALL AREAAT A GLANCE
A small facial area takes less time than a large body area. Confirm your total booking time.
Redness or sensitivity can occur; follow your personal aftercare.
Body: 4–8 weeks initially; intervals may lengthen as growth changes.
More may be needed; maintenance is based on regrowth.
Planning guide, not a fixed prescription. Treatment time excludes consultation, preparation and numbing unless stated. Our aesthetician confirms the full appointment, recovery and schedule.
A CLOSER LOOK
Choose the small-area IPL hair-reduction category after confirming the treatment area with the clinic. IPL targets pigment in the hair. Skin tone, hair colour and the treatment area all influence suitability and response. IPL is a light-based treatment, rather than a laser.
Care is personal. Expected results, comfort and recovery depend on your skin and the treatment plan. We will explain the options and limitations during your consultation.

GOOD QUESTIONS
No. IPL means Intense Pulsed Light, which uses a range of light wavelengths rather than a laser beam. The hair-reduction applicator targets pigment in hair to reduce future growth in suitable skin and hair combinations.
Yes. IPL relies on pigment in the hair. White, grey, red and very light hair may respond poorly or be unsuitable. Our aesthetician assesses the contrast between your hair and skin, as well as the area, before recommending a course.
No. Eligibility depends on the exact hair applicator and its device guidance, alongside an assessment of your skin and recent sun exposure. Auralia must confirm suitability; a patch test or a statement about a different Venus treatment does not automatically make hair reduction appropriate.
Shaving may be part of preparation, but the exact timing and area should be confirmed with Auralia. Tell the team which area you want treated and follow their instructions rather than assuming every appointment uses the same shaving schedule.
Hair does not all grow in the same phase, so a course is usually needed. Manufacturer guidance commonly describes six to ten visits, with approximately four to six weeks between facial visits and four to eight weeks for body areas. Our aesthetician adjusts the schedule to your hair growth and response.
The aim is long-term reduction in hair growth, not a guarantee that every hair will disappear permanently. Response varies and some regrowth or maintenance visits may occur. Discuss realistic expectations for your hair type and treatment area.
Avoid tanning and follow the recommended sun protection and skincare. The manual advises avoiding hot baths and massage on the area for the first two days. Our aesthetician will confirm when exercise, heat-based activities and products are suitable for your skin.
